A guide for your first step toward deeper healing
Whether you’re joining me online from Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie or anywhere in Alberta — or sitting with me in person in Airdrie — your first hypnotherapy session is designed to feel grounding, safe, and deeply personal.
Many Albertans come to hypnotherapy because they’re carrying stress, emotional weight, or patterns that feel hard to shift through talking alone. If that’s where you are, you’re not alone. Hypnotherapy helps you access the deeper layers of your mind—the places where old beliefs, emotional habits, and long-held tension live—so you can finally release what you’ve been holding.
Here’s what your first session with me looks like.
We start with a simple, supportive conversation
You don’t need to prepare or have everything figured out.You can show up exactly as you are.
We talk about:
what’s been weighing on you
what you’d love to feel more of
the shifts you’re hoping to experience
any questions you have about the process
This part helps your nervous system feel safe, which is essential for deeper healing.
Together, we shape a gentle intention
Instead of setting a rigid goal, we explore what you’re truly wanting right now.
Maybe it’s…
more calm
more confidence
more joy and happiness
emotional release
letting go of past experiences
quieting the overthinking
reconnecting with your true self
Your subconscious responds beautifully to intention and clarity—and we discover that intention together.
Your first session includes a Personalized Suggestion Session
This is where the transformation begins.
Based on our conversation, I create a custom, personalized hypnosis script designed specifically for you—your language, your experiences, and the patterns you’re ready to shift.
This isn’t a pre-written or generic script. It’s crafted uniquely for your needs so your subconscious can begin healing and releasing right away.
During this part of the session, you simply settle in, close your eyes if that feels comfortable, and allow your mind to relax.
What hypnosis actually feels like (for most Albertans, surprisingly familiar)
Many people in their first session say, “Oh! This feels like deep meditation.”
That’s exactly it.
Hypnosis often feels similar to:✨ meditation✨ the calm focus of yoga✨ the softness just before sleep✨ being absorbed in a moment of peace✨ that grounded feeling after a long prairie drive or mountain walk
You’re aware. You’re in control. You’re simply relaxed and focused in a way that lets your deeper mind open gently.
After hypnosis: space to reflect
We take time to talk about what you experienced—never rushed, never pressured.
Many Albertans describe feeling:
lighter
grounded
peaceful
more themselves
like something finally softened inside
This grounding time helps your conscious mind begin integrating the changes your subconscious just started.
A session designed for you, your story, and your healing
Every session unfolds differently, because every person carries different emotional and energetic layers.
Some sessions bring clarity. Some bring release. Some bring a sense of calm you haven’t felt in a long time. Some plant a seed that unfolds quietly over the days ahead.
Your mind and body set the pace.My role is simply to walk with you—with compassion, intuition, and decades of therapeutic experience.
